Colt New Service .455 Eley (C17674)
This circa 1914 Colt .455 Eley caliber New Service revolver was exported to England. The 5.5" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The barrel, frame and each chamber have British proof marks. The cylinder is in its original configuration and has not been cut for the 45 ACP cartridge with its half moon adaptors. The gun has approx. 95% blue. The import mark is tastefully placed on the lower frame forward of the trigger guard. The checkered hard rubber grips, with COLT at the top, are excellent with no cracks or chips. The grips are numbered to the gun. The lanyard loop is present. The action functions correctly. This very fine New Service revolver is ready for your British handgun or Colt collection.
