Pre-War Sporting Rifles

Pre-war semi-auto rifle made in 1937. The finish on the barrel sleeve has turned brown and the stock shows typical hunting wear. Has a Weaver 330 scope on a Stith side mount. Bore is excellent. Overall very good condition.

The 8X57mm caliber Holek semi-automatic sporting rifle features a tipping breech block similar to the Czech ZB vz. 26. Lever action rifle in desirable .38-55 caliber. The 26” barrel and mag tube have scattered pitting and approximately 85% original blue. Receiver has about 80% of its original case colors. Bore has strong rifling with light frosting. Tang is marked Model 1893. Good to very good overall condition.

Very fine model 1936. Receiver has vivid original case colors. Bore is excellent. Action works perfectly. Stocks are near excellent with some very minor wear. A desirable high condition Marlin lever action with exceptional case colors.

Single shot target rifle. Bore is excellent. Barrel is 27", and is not original to rifle. Buttstock has a cheekpiece and hook butt plate. The frame has vivid case colors and has the J.M. Marlin patent dates and Ballard patent dates. The forend has a schnauble tip with palm rest. The scope is a Litchert spot-shot with excellent optics. Weight is 14 pounds. Fine quality workmanship!

Marlin 1893 .30-30 caliber carbine. Saddle Ring Carbine. Barrel is marked “Special Smokeless Steel”. Receiver has a mostly gray patina with some case colors in protected areas. Barrel and tube retain 85-90% original finish. Stock has some nicks and dings, no cracks. Very good overall condition.  

Remington 30 Express Custom 500 Schuler/Jeffery caliber rifle. Top quality big bore rifle built by Jeffery & Son. Barrel is marked “ W. Jeffery & Son, Plymouth and Palos Verdes”. Floor plate and trigger guard are scroll engraved, and the floor plate has a cape buffalo engraved on it with gold inlays around it.
