Dated 1939. Leather is marked "Thiele A.-G. Dresden 1939". Flap has some tinnies added, most likely by a GI. Very good overall condition.
Slings & Other Leather Items
Model of 1887 with brass plate fixed to mouth. Leather is marked Rock Island Arsenal. Leather strap has a tear, otherwise good overall condition.
Indian War Carbine sling swivel. This is a non-regulation type sling. Most Historians believe these were used by Scouts. Leather has cracking but is still in good shape.
Rock Island Arsenal Model 1885 Carbine Sling. Leather shows cracking on surface. Metal has “Rock Island Arsenal” stamped in hook carrier. Very good condition.
U.S. Civil War Carbine sling swivel. Sling with a O.B. North & Company swivel. These were made late war, 1864-1865. Sling looks to be an older reproduction.
Confederate Carbine Sling with a Jukes, Coulson & Company swivel. These are British made, were delivered in numbers to the Confederate States during the Civil War. Sling looks to be an older reproduction.
U.S. Model 123 Sling. 1942 dated.
U.S. post WWII pattern 1907 rifle sling. U.S. Government MRT marked and dated 12-86 made for match type rifles.
