Colt 1871-72 Open Top

Colt Model 1871-72 Open Top .44 Rimfire caliber revolver. Gun has matching serial numbers. Very good bore. Gun shows honest wear with no abuse. Grips have approximately 30% original varnish. The cylinder scene is very good and 98% clear. Action works perfectly. Nice example and not altered in any way.

Colt 1871-72 Open Top revolver. Open Top with excellent old grips. This gun has a great old west feel to it. Traces of nickel remain on the metal. Excellent old grips. Barrel has expertly been lengthened the last 3”. Great looking and has a good “Old West” feel!  

Colt 1871-72 Open Top. Scarce model Colt with 7,000 made .44 caliber with dark bore. Action works perfect. Smooth brown patina on metal. Very attractive grips of the period. The barrel has been lengthened back to 7 ½”.
