Colt 1851 Navy

Single action Colt revolver made in 1853. Has been converted post-Civil War to fire .38 centerfire cartridges. All serials are matching aside from the cylinder which illegible from age. The backstrap has been professionally inscribed "J.W Kent" in fine script. The grips are in excellent condition. A fine 1851 conversion.

Manufactured in 1863, this Colt has a 7.5" octagonal barrel. All the serials are matching. The serials on the cylinder are no longer legible, but our belief is that it is original, as it has the same wear and patina as the rest of the revolver. The barrel wedge is an old replacement. Grip straps have approximately 25% of the old tarnished silver plating. Cylinder scene is easily visible. Metal has an even brown patina.

Serial number 204065. Made in 1868. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Very fine gun with 50% of the original blue on the barrel. The frame has turned to a mostly brown patina with traces of dark case colors. Grips are excellent. Very good cylinder scene remains. Action works well. Gun is all matching. Very fine all original Colt 1851 Navy!

Serial Number 50752. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Metal is very sharp with some pitting. The cylinder still retains some of the scene. Grips are very good with visible cartouches. There is a small “U.S.” on the left hand side of the frame. Numbers are all matching. Action works well. Very nice Martial Colt 1851 Martial Navy!

Both guns made in 1863. 36 caliber with 7 ½” barrels. Gun are in near identical conditions with nice sharp metal and an even smooth brown patina throughout. Guns are all matching and have a strong cylinder scene. Grips are very good. Trigger guards and back straps still have some of the silver plating. Serial number 142276 has much more silver than serial number 145073....

Made in 1855. 36 caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. This is a London navy. The metal has a gray patina with some pitting. Grips are replaced and are US martial navy grips. The holster is probably from the 1920s or 1930s. It is a very neat slim jim Holster that fits this gun like a glove. Very Neat rig!
