Colt 1878 Double Action .44-40 caliber revolver marked "Frontier Six Shooter" on barrel. Barrel is 7 1/2" and bore is very good. Gun retains about 95% of an old nickel refinish that was very well done and actually looks original.

Colt 1878 .45 LC caliber revolver. Beautiful 5 1/2" nickel D.A. with fine old pearl grips. Gun was sent back to Colt for the 5 1/2" barrel and for the nickel plating. Has factory rework star and rework numbers. Original factory letter shows 7 1/2" barrel and blue. Shipped to Sears & Roebuck Co, Chicago, Illinois in 1900. Gun is excellent with 98-99% factory nickel. Beautiful 1878.
